Nancy Lee (Bunch) Gonzalez

Nancy Lee (Bunch) Gonzalez, 69, of Stilwell, Oklahoma passed into her heavenly home Saturday, August 22, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born to McKinley and Jacqueline (Adair) Bunch on June 20, 1951, in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Ruby Hernandez; mother-in-law, Margarita Martinez; and her father-in-law, Margarito Gonzalez.

Nancy was a devout Baptist and was a lifelong member of Cherry Tree Baptist Church and was an active member of the Women’s Ministry Union. Nancy grew up with Cherokee as her first language. She attended and graduated from Stilwell High School in 1970. After graduating high school, Nancy went to Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kansas, and received an Associate’s of Applied Science in Food Service in May of 1972. She worked at Richard Watson’s Apple Town in Lincoln, Arkansas for over 20 years making fresh apple cider. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply. She was an avid crafter and could craft anything that was asked of her. She loved to cook, especially her famous biscuits and gravy. She could always be found garage selling with her sister and best-friend, Ozzie Castro. She loved her dog, Chico deeply. 
She loved to travel, especially to see her family in Mexico. 

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 41 years, Silvero Gonzalez of the home; three daughters, Margarita Hernandez and husband Israel Anguiano of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Karina Martinez and fiancé Jose Bahena of Springdale, Arkansas and Tomassina Hernandez and best-friend Jason Riddle of Lawerence, Kansas; five grandchildren, Makayla Hernandez, Amayah Anguiano, Dante Anguiano, Joaquin Martinez and Jacquelyn Martinez; one nephew, McKinley Hernandez of Stilwell; one aunt, Charolette Grimmett of Stilwell; two brothers-in-laws, Tomas Hernandez of Stilwell and Perfecto Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; three sister-in-law’s, Aurelia Gonzalez, Ana Hernandez and Antonia Martinez, all of San Luis Potosi, Mexico; best-friend, Ozzie Castro; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive her.

A viewing will be held Friday, August 28, 2020, from 10 am to 11 am at Chulio Cemetery in Stilwell, Oklahoma. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, August 28, 2020, at 11 am in the Chulio Cemetery with Rev. Dj McCarter officiating.
