Joan Vinita Salerno was born in Darby, Pennsylvania on February 28th, 1942 to parents, Alice (Hopwood) and Robert Maxwell Wilkinson. Joan entered her heavenly home on September 30th, 2018 in Collinsville, Oklahoma.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Judy Salerno and Peggy Lotka and a grandson, Jimmy Weaver.
During Joan’s spare time, she enjoyed watching professional tennis and the Philadelphia Eagles. She loved spending time shopping and traveling the New Jersey shoreline. If you caught Joan listening to music, more than likely you would have basked in the melodies of Bette Midler and Barbara Streisand. Above all her hobbies, she loved her job at the Senior Community Center in Owasso, Oklahoma, where she was surrounded by a group of loving friends.
Left to cherish Joan’s memory is one brother, David Wilkinson and wife Sharon of Collinsville, Oklahoma, two sons, Paul Airgood and wife Anna of Thorofare, New Jersey, and Jeffrey Airgood, one daughter, Allison Becker of Bridgeport, Connecticut and four grandchildren, Paul Airgood, Zackerie Airgood, Jared Becker, and Erin Becker.
