Frances Gail (Duncan) Daugherty

Frances Gail “Babe” (Duncan) Daugherty ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, October 2, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 51 years, 2 months, and 24 days. She was born to Frank and Lillie (Wolfe) Duncan in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on July 9, 1969.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Taylor and Sarah (Eli) Duncan; maternal grandparents, Albert and Irene (Soap) Wolfe; sister, Lisa “Sti-ga” Duncan; brother-in-law, Christopher Hill; father-in-law, Levi “Papa Dear” Daugherty; and mother-in-law, Ruby (Vann) Daugherty.

Frances married the love of her life, Edward over 23 years ago. From their union, three children were born: Abel, Abraham, and Hannah. She was a devout Christian and a member of Pleasant Valley Holiness Church for about 23 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher. She loved going to church and to any type of gospel singing or revival. She found joy and comfort from reading the Bible. When Frances was not at a church function, you could often find her at the Stilwell High School football game on Friday nights. She also enjoyed fishing, going to cruise nights, and looking at fancy cars at car shows.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Edward Daugherty of the home; children, Abel Edward Daugherty of the home, Abraham Brock Daugherty of the home, Hannah Gail Daugherty of the home, Denise Scott and husband Jerry of Stilwell, Edwin Ross and companion Kendal Bishop of Stilwell, LaDonna Whisenhunt and husband Dwight of Stilwell, Chylah Camp, Kaidyn Camp, I-yo Camp, and Kayleigh Duncan; parents, Frank and Lillie (Wolfe) Duncan; siblings, Frankie Duncan of Stilwell, Nena Hunt and companion Brian Wacoche of Tahlequah, Amy Hill of Okmulgee, Albert Duncan of Stilwell, Timothy Duncan and companion Bridget Gann of Stilwell; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive her.

A visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm, Tuesday, October 6, 2020, at New Life Church in Stilwell, Oklahoma. A Funeral Service will be held 1pm, Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at New Life Church with Reverend DeWayne O’field officiating. Burial will follow in the Tyler Spring Cemetery in Stilwell.
