Albert Shannon Obituary

Reverend Albert “Al” Ray Shannon, 81, of Collinsville, Oklahoma transitioned to his Heavenly home on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born November 18th, 1939, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to Myrtle Ella (Maxfield) and Raymond Buddy Shannon.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ruth Ella Hudson; and two brothers, Bobby Joe Shannon, and Raymond Buddy Shannon.

Albert spent most of his adult life in Alaska, where he resided from 1974 to 2017, before moving to Collinsville. He loved to hunt and fish in the beautiful landscapes of Alaska. Albert received an Associate’s Degree in Ministry from Central Bible College in Springfield, MO. Before becoming a minister, Albert carried a pilot’s license. He loved the Lord and his family deeply.

He is survived by one daughter, Pam Buff and husband Fred, of Collinsville, Oklahoma; two sons, Clifton L. Shannon and wife Kristen, of Anchorage, Alaska, and Darrell Shannon, of Anchorage, Alaska; five grandchildren, Alecia Shannon, of OKC, Oklahoma, Adam St. Louis, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Russell James Shannon, Steven Christopher Shannon, and Johnathan Sasieta, all of Anchorage, Alaska; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive him.
