Richard Lewis Elledge Jr.

Richard Lewis Elledge Jr., 60, of Collinsville, Oklahoma passed from this life on August 2, 2019 in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Richard was born to Richard Lewis and Rhodena Laura (McFee) Elledge Sr. on December 31, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, William Henry Thornton and companion, Elizabeth Ann Claxton.

Richard always had a friendly smile on his face. He loved spending time with his sons and grandsons. He was a man of his word, who never had to be asked to do something twice. He would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Richard enjoyed exploring, rather it be adventuring outdoors or messing around with chickens. He enjoyed to fish and to watch football on the television. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Richard Lewis Elledge III and Jaime Gledhill of Skiatook, Oklahoma and Matthew Aaron Elledge of Owasso, Oklahoma; companion, Sonya Shaw; former wife, Cindy Lee Elledge of Owasso, Oklahoma; brothers, Randy Elledge, Mark Elledge and Steven Thornton; sisters, Pamela Brown and Teresa Hand; grandsons, Richard Lewis Elledge IV and Drew Reid Elledge. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends also survive him.

A visitation will be held Monday, August 5, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with family being present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Parsons-Canoe-Beggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Parsons-Canoe-Beggs Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Brummett officiating. Interment to follow at Osage Gardens Cemetery, Skiatook, Oklahoma. 

The Parsons-Canoe-Beggs Funeral Home, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, has charge of arrangements.
