Rex Vann

Rex Vann, son of Jack and Margaret (Pettit) Vann, was born September 12, 1961 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma and departed this life on July 8, 2019 in Stilwell, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Jack Vann, Sr. and Jennie Sanders; maternal grandparents, Dexter Rider, Adam Canoe and Jennie (Pettit) Canoe; nephew, Antony Vann; nieces, Melinda Vann and Jenessa Soap.

Rex loved fishing. He was a well-known fisherman to his family and a expert at cleaning them. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Rex also enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, spending time with his brothers, their families, his nieces and nephews. He was all around a very loving family man.

Left to carry on his legacy, are brothers; Farris Vann and wife Sandra, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Dexter Vann and wife Lisa, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Frankie Vann and wife Carolyn, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, David Vann and wife Jerrie, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Robbie Vann and wife Mary, of Muskogee, Oklahoma. Other relatives and a host of friends also survive him. He will be greatly missed by those left to cherish his memory.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 at 11am with Bro. Charlie Shell officiating. Both will be held in the Fairfield Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the Rocky Point Cemetery, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma.
