Mervin Ralstin, 80, passed away at his home in Santa Fe, Texas, on January 27, 2019. Mervin was born February 7, 1938, to Calvin Glenn Ralstin and Gladys Emerine Smith in Cherokee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Glenneta Bennett and now, Mervin rejoices with his wife, Lovella (Hayes) Ralstin, in Heaven.
Mervin was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked many years as a welder, retiring from U.S. Steel and later, the Texas Department of Corrections. He and his wife, Lovella, loved to square dance. They also enjoyed traveling the United States in their travel trailer, having visited 48 of the 50 states.
He leaves behind: three daughters, Rebecca Galindo and her husband Pete, Martha Alexander and her husband Paul, Helena Purl and her husband Charlie; his son, Russell Ralstin and his wife Nicole; grandchildren, Scott Villanueva, Jeff Villanueva and his wife Caty, Richard Alexander, David Alexander, Lacey Alexander, Alexandria Purl Loya and her husband Levi, Rex Purl and his wife Nicole, Amanda Purl, Kayla Purl, Colton Purl, Nala Purl, Michael Ralstin, Stormy Ralstin and Alex Mantecon; and 12 great-grandchildren.
