Jack Silas Laffoon, son of Walter and Hanna Viola (Davidson) Laffoon was born October 11, 1928 in Skiatook, Oklahoma and departed this life to be with the Lord, surrounded by family on July 26, 2019 at his home in Westville, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Allen, Leon, Frank, and Vernon Laffoon; sisters, Clara, Sue, Thelma, Mary and Elsey; daughter, Vickie Jean Fagin and grandbaby Vann.
Mr. Laffoon served his country proudly, he was a sharpshooter/snipper for the Army Air Corp., what we now know as the United States Air Force. He served during the WWII era. Jack worked for Brand Rex in Siloam Springs, Arkansas for 20 years. Then worked for the Tyson chicken plant in Stilwell, Oklahoma for 10 years. First and foremost, Jack loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.
Jack is survived by a very loving family that includes his wife of 62 years, Dottie (Lowery) Laffoon and his little black dog “Lil Bit” of the home in Westville, Oklahoma; daughters, Jackie Smithson and husband Mark, of Gentry, Arkansas, Raylene Vann and husband Gary, of Bunch, Oklahoma, Stacey Laffoon of Needville, Texas; son-in-law, Kevin Fagin, of Glenpool, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda Reynolds and husband Brian, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Tyler Vann, Kyle Fagin, Rachel Williams, Susie Vann, Bradley Fagin, Youngwolf Vann and Jasmine Pahmiyer; great-grandchildren, James Harrison, Abby, Ryder and Kolton. Other relatives and many friends also survive him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at the Impact Church of Westville from 2pm to 8pm. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 11am on the grounds of Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
